When was the first triple threat match
It was fast-paced action from bell-to-bell, and while he may have won because of the sad circumstances, it was still great to see the cruiserweight GOAT win the World Championship. People would usually roll their eyes when it came to multi-woman matches at WrestleMania. Not because of the women themselves, but because of the lack of care and effort by the company to properly promote their Women's Division.
His popularity was never in question; it was always about keeping his head on straight in order to be trusted with such a role. Armageddon gave Jeff Hardy fans a moment they'll never forget, in an amazing match that showcased all its competitors and included some interference from Matt Hardy, too.
Whatever your feelings are towards Daniel Bryan, it's hard to deny how important this match was. Not only was it amazing in terms of the in-ring product, but the result was what fans had been clamoring for since the "Yes" chants became a thing. It takes some serious pull for someone to make WWE change its course. With a main event featuring 3 of WWE's biggest stars ever fighting over the WWE title, it's hardly a surprise they managed to put on an instant classic that entertains just as much today as it did back in His reign wouldn't last long, though, as he came face to face with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam a month later.
Money in the Bank at the time, Seth Rollins. Lesnar and Cena know how to provide the drama, and had the fans eating out of their hands. Rollins always delivers the goods, and they gave fans something truly special on an otherwise forgettable night.
The announcers kept reminding the viewers that it was the 1st ever triple threat and they kept explaining the rules. During the match Goldust pinned Owen, but Owen had his foot on the ropes and the ref Pat Patterson didn't see it.
Anyway, Monsoon comes out and restarts the match. Originally Posted by Vastardikai. Originally Posted by Loose Cannon. Yeah, Cannon's got it right. I distinctively remember Owen and Brian being all pissed off about the rules where Owen could lose the title without getting pinned.
One neat spot was where Owen and Hunter had just destroyed the crap out of Goldust and Hunter was about to Pedigree Goldust. Both he and Owen hold up their hands in supposed unison and Hunter is all smiles but he's already in Pedigree position with his chest exposed so Owen backstabs him and comes off the ropes with a back heel kick on the poor guy. Funny stuff. Thread Tools.

The match was a wild brawl with weapons used by everybody in the match and even a table w as propped up in the corner.
The crowd went wild as Cornette was even thrown into the announce table even though he was just an announcer. Cornette's team of the Heavenly Bodies with Bobby Eaton won this bloodbath much to the dismay of the crowd. Much like everything in wrestling, the triple threat match changed. Over the years, the triple threat match has evolved to where it can be a three way elimination match or the way WWE usually does it like at WrestleMania 30's main event where the first fall wins the match.
The triple threat isn't popular with everybody because the idea of somebody losing a match without getting pinned or submitted is uncommon, but it's important to have different match types or everything else would get stale.
