It would be so easy for them to do but they refuse to do it. Now what does this say to vendors who offer patch management like LanGuard and others? Will they no longer be able to support it? I just use the free installers for myself. I have the Flash installer and it still works.

Hopefully they won't kill the old installers in the future. If they're going to require that, remove the stupid useless checkbox during installation. Seems like a bizarre complaint, mostly because it would defeat the purpose of the tool. The whole point is for it to choose default options silently with zero user intervention. I use a solid state as my C drive and don't want all my random programs on it. Those go on my SATA raid. I think this is becoming a popular enough setup that you should at least get the option if you want it.

Those programs take up minimal amount of space. In my eyes GB of higher, but that raises the cost considerably in a laptop. I like to keep costs down. And when you install all those programs on the OS drive, yes 60 gb does get eaten up fast which is why I want those programs on the data drive.

I now depend on GFI Vipre Antivirus with new feature of patching 3rd party apps like flash to keep workstations updated.
