Now it is just my way of doing things. It is a good idea though to have a scratch vocal for tracking though. Though, it is quite difficult to record drums using a bassline as a click track.

I use a metronome rather than a handmade click track, so I tend to disable it as soon as I have the drumset recorded I have tried recording a manual clicktrack using a cowbell or something similar but inconsistencies are hard to deal with vs. Leaving the click on during all this would force every subsequent part to continually look to the metronome for the beat rather than naturally feel where the beat lies in the drumset part.
