But if we take small wood they has little area to float but same in case of stone they whould never float and sink down I think this is not reason able answer.

What about the shape of the ship doesn't it have any effect in displacing the water. If you follow the principle of flotation it tells that for the object to flow it's weight should be equal to the weight of water displaced by it so according to it a stone should also flow but it doesn't. I believe here applies the law of Archimedes! The excavation concavity of the ship makes the vessel boyant, in fact a concave stone might float!

Please don't leave without saying something. A stone sinks in water because it is more dense than water. It sinks- copper is denser than salt water.

It is more dense than water, and [presumably] it is not shaped in such a way that all of its weight can be displaced before the stone submerges. A pumice stone is light weight due to numerous trapped gas bubbles that can cause it to float on water. Pumice does not sink. Lead weight, a stone, the list is endless. That depends on the material of which the stone is composed.

Some stones are so light that they will float in water e. The rock is heavy and solid!! The boat has buoyancy!! The same as wood!! Eevee does not evolve until you use a stone on it. I believe you can use either a Fire stone, Water stone, or Thunder stone. It depends on the shape of the fork and the material from which it is made. Most non-metal wood, plastic forks will float. Metal forks will sink unless they are shaped to have a large enough surface area on the bottom.

Gravity Gravity Density of the marble stone being greater than water causes it to sink by gravitational force. Log in. Solid State Physics. See Answer. Best Answer. Study guides. Q: Which stone dose not sink in water? Write your answer Related questions.
