Skyrim should i leave sovngarde

What are some of the things unique items, shouts I should make sure I get, both before I get into Sovngarde, and before I leave Sovngarde? The Skuldafn Temple area has a word wall that teaches you part of the Storm Call shout.

Nahkriin is a dragon priest with a mask you'll want to grab. His staff is also unique, if generally uninteresting, and you'll probably pick it up just to gain entry to Sovngarde anyhow. Everything else in Skuldafn is generic leveled stuff, and there's no notable loot in Sovngarde itself other than as pointed out in the comments some unique clutter like the ox head on the dining table.

I read through the wiki pages for the last parts of the main quest, and the only unique item I found is that you should make sure to loot the mask from the Dragon Priest that is guarding the portal to Sovngarde. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be anything missable. I heard that by reloading a save before entering the ruins, you are able to get prepared with anything you have in the regular Skyrim world before you can kill Alduin. One you think you're prepared, ride Odahving to Skuldafn.

However, there are also useful things in Skuldafn Temple. There is some loot inside the ruins. Nahkriin also has a dragon priest mask which is indeed useful.

So, if you want to get the Secret One, which can be found at Labyrinthian, in a circle room, which has a wooden mask, you put it on, and you go back in time, to where you may place the Masks to get the Secret One. As this game has many things to do, which requires many things only obtainable ONCE. This game can get really irritating.

So, have fun on your travels. Alduin's death looks very epic. You should totally try your best to get to him, just to see his death. When you leave a dungeon, the mobs you have killed should mostly be still dead. I say mostly because if I return to a 'cleared' dungeon I always seem to bump into something living.

In theory you should be able to walk out of the place partly cleared, then fast travel to where-ever, restock on potions and sell stuff etc, then fast travel back.

All the mobs you have killed should still be dead, and you carry on where you left off. Are there any enemies near you - IF you are outside? Do you see any message when you try to fast travel? During the related quest, the portal brings you to the head of the valley at the top of a series of stairs. To reach the Hall of Valor simply descend down the stairs and follow the partially paved path that winds through the fertile valley before leading directly to the gatekeeper, Tsun. You are likely to encounter several souls lost in the fog, mostly of unnamed Imperial legionnaires or Stormcloak soldiers , but also any named Nord who has died bravely may be found in Sovngarde.

Those that can be found vary depending on your game play and which quests and locations have been completed or visited, for instance, High King Torygg and Svaknir can both be found in the fog. The Hall of Valor is on a pinnacle of rock separated from the rest of Sovngarde by the bottomless chasm that is spanned by the whalebone bridge with Tsun, the gatekeeper standing on the near side of the bridge on land between twin shallow pools on either side fed by streams before joining the pools, only to empty over the edge of the chasm as great waterfalls.
